Ana, Nice meeting you on the ill-fated airplane flight from Halifax to Boston and in the Boston hotel last week. We checked out your "River Under the Road" number and album and liked it a lot. It's our style alright. We're back in northern Cape Breton Island. You ought to check it and us out sometime. Take care, Mark & Janice

Over the years I've bought so many albums and as I sadly add them into itunes to get with this technological day and age, I came across "101 Sundays" .
For the life of me I cannot remember where I bought it but I figure I must have saw Ana Egge live amongst the hundreds of shows over the years.
I'm Happy to see she is still making music and it's pleasure to listen to....

Loved your very powerful set Friday evening at Deep Roots - bought Road to My Love expecting more but while very nice & mellow, not what I expected or hoped for. What albums reflect your very powerful voice and guitar renditions? Thanks

just by chance, I caught your performance at the Living Room early this week. Your song writing and presentation is astounding and inspiring on many levels. I just bought some of your recordings on iTunes. I hope to catch you and your band again. I am a self produced songwriter on indefinite hiatus. I just need a few more artists like yourself to get myself back on track. THANK YOU for the music you make.

Can't name the first song ("I hitched a ride with you on my mind" - anyone know?), but the rest were:

Farmer's Daughter
Fairest of them All
Swing Low Sweet Chariot
Ana also joined Tom Wilson, Clarence Bucaro, Fountains of Wayne and the Mountain Stage Band for the finale, John the Revelator

I remember seeing Ana Egge as a young woman, on a 100 year old stage in New Mexico. She had an amazing voice & excellent stories with each song. So genuine & true. Gnarly guitar too! Come back to New Mexico sometime, or maybe San Diego? I'd love to see the original cassette tracks on CD. Possible? ...maybe?? ps: Mr. Pearson, I believe you may be thinking of : Talco Girl: http://tinyurl.com/d56yox

Hi Ana,
It's not Birmingham Steel either. You sang at SXSW in a rather intimate bar upstairs and opposite Whole Foods Market and I'm certain you alluded to a Tuscaloosa Girl! I would love to find it.

Hey Ana, this is the short Filipino guy that came up to say hi at Mountain Stage. I regret not being able to personally buy a CD because I was chattingbit up with so many people. Just wanted to drop by to say that you did an AMAZING job and your spirit when playing that slide has inspired me as I am also an artist... But I've not experienced such impressive skills. :). You rock. Keep in touch now. And West Virginia loves you! -Chris

Could it be 'Birmingham Steel' -the song you're thinking of? It's by Steve James on his current CD -Short Blue Stories.
'101 Sundays' is available for download from my online store at indiekazoo.com!

I could hardly wait for your new Cd. I came to see you several times last month at the Living Room, and I think that Farmer's Daughter is the most lyrically beautiful song you've ever written. Bravo to you!

I have been a fan since I first saw Ana at Lileth Fair in Austin,TX. and am proud to say her first sign/banner (so she said...smiley) requesting Souls Out Sailing at Gabby 'N Moe's coffe house over 10 years ago! I bought her cd at Lileth and it's been my favorite ever since! My partner just surprised me and told me she's taking me to her CD release in March as a late Valentine's Gift! Sing on, Sister! Sing on! The voice of an angel! Sincerely, Kristen Posey-Austin, TX.

Hi Ana, I'm brooding about KSIL going off the air tonite; listening to Dan Stokes for the last time. He played a lot of your songs and told us about the great photo. Love your music, saw you at the "Pickamania" at Gough Park and at the SC Brewery. I'm the retired librarian who sometimes rides with your dad. Hope you have a great 2009. Love and Peace.

Hi Anna,
Do you remember me? You sang for my kids "you are my sunshine" in Austin, back in 1996 (?). Mark and I were just listening to a CD we got in Austin years ago called "KGSR Broadcasts Volume 5" with your song "Fairest of them All". We're in the bay area now, but were reminiscing our Austin days, thinking of you and your music.
